Welcome!
Hello! My name is Courtney Stierwalt. I would like to welcome you to my professional portfolio that showcases my efforts through the Learning Design and Technology Graduate Program at Purdue University.
Currently, I work for Purdue University as an Extension Educator specializing in 4-H Youth Development and Agriculture & Natural Resources. This program has opened my eyes to the many elements of design and development. Several of the courses allowed me to create materials that I have since implemented into 4-H and agricultural programming. This program has proved to be the perfect paring with my career, as it has allowed me to put my ideas into action.
Growing up on a cattle farm and being heavily involved in 4-H and Junior Cattle Associations, I have a passion to share the message of agriculture. In 2011, I obtained my B.S. in Agricultural Communication from Purdue University. After working in industry for a few years I came back to my roots to work for Purdue Extension. I began my Masters in Learning Design and Technology to teach me the skills of an Instructional Designer. The skills I have gained have opened my eyes to new world of experiences and are already paying off professionally and personally.
I hope you enjoy the snapshots of my LDT path through my portfolio. If you have any questions, please let me know at dickerso@purdue.edu.
